yesterday was a very tiring duty, double manning watchroom and the main engine. 4 calls at strategic hours in the night. first at 2230hrs, second at 0000hrs, next at 0300hrs and last at 0530hrs. the last one was the mother of all calls i’ve had thus far.
with everyone in the interchange looking on, the bus burst into flames before we arrived, filling the entire basement with gray smoke. by the time we got there, it was exactly like a scene out of a movie; people running away, shouts, flames, jets of water and smoke.
’twas a mindfuck of a vehicle fire, you would agree with me if you were there.
what with the stewardesses waiting for bus no. 858 looking on, and the early morning breath of fresh smoke. of course the smiling stewardesses made making up the hoses all the more steamy.
