this coming week

i am confident that my time for regimental guard duty has arrived. i am also very confident that it will hit me on a saturday, if not a sunday.

right as rain

they took away my favourite locker yesterday. the one with the amazing side hooks, the cleanest locker in the land. they then used my favourite locker to keep brooms, mops, and ironing boards. after which they passed me this joined locker, so now i have to share the locker with azmall the doctor. it is small and dirty as hell.

what’s next?

because at the end of the day, the earth’s still spinning

i’ve been rewarding myself with chocolate bars, coke, cup noodles, music, and even a tv show or two at the end of every day. but these rewards are starting to get old, and i think it is time to pump up the rewards. but as it is NS, there is little possibility of having something extravagant. shall figure this out soon.

in other news, I find it difficult to type now. i think my fingers are accustomed to not touching the keyboard 15 hours a day; they move around like giant ducks on a tiny keyboard. I don’t know whether if this is a good thing or a bad thing, but what i do know is that i’ll need that typing prowess back after ns.

see, ns is just a phase in your life where you stop everything you were doing before it, start getting crazy over the rank on your shoulder, try to become someone you’re not, put your entire social life on hold, and bring forth torture on your body and mind that you never knew you could take. All that for 2 years. And if you get a permanent injury, sustain long lasting mental trauma or even suffer death within these 2 years, then it’s a shame, because it is only NS afterall. It is only NS. And there’s no way out of it.

so i still need to figure this reward thing out. and i need to go a nice beach and chill very soon. i have no idea where that came from.
